Between September 18 and 27, 2026, Torreforum will host the second Torrelodones Chess Festival, organized by the Torrelodones Chess Club in collaboration with the Hon. Torrelodones City Council.

The second edition of this festival, as was done with the first, is dedicated to the memory of Ramón Torres Grajales, a player of the Torrelodones Chess Club and a respected member of the Madrid chess community. It is directed by his son, Rafael Torres Samper, one of the strongest players currently representing the club.

It will consist of three independent tournaments: Rapid, a Standard Open divided into two groups based on rating, and an Arena‑format Masnou tournament. The event offers attractive prizes across its different categories, as detailed in the tournament regulations, which can be downloaded further down on this page. If the tournament does not reach the expected level of participation, the club reserves the right to modify the tournament conditions and the amount of the prizes.

Players visiting from outside the Community of Madrid who need a place to stay can contact the organizers or book directly through our partner establishment
